imbir: HBO-type puppet man from the Musée Mécanique in San Francisco (Default)
One of the part-timers I work with always tunes into the classic hits channel, and I have to say, I am a better, wiser imbir than I was before I started working there. Did you know men have feelings and it entitles them to something? How about that it's never wrong for a son but always wrong for a daughter to live off the family money? I didn't, nor did I know it was possible to coast through the work day by listening to some frank discussions about how a girl's age is a serious problem. I'm sure everybody was shocked when the 1950's were sentenced to life without parole, but just listening to the radio makes me feel like an accessory to a crime. Of course, the most decent song turned out to be about an ex-con who would like to tell his sweetheart that it's been three long years and the choice is entirely hers.

...anyway, in the film, "Close to You" is what the younger sister (the computer hacker) pipes into the security system when her older sister is exiting the building (bowling a perfect strike through the guards) at the beginning of the film. The film uses Corrinne May's cover, who has quite the voice, as you can hear for yourself.
